Coastal flood and high surf advisories issued for Santa Cruz coast [Santa Cruz Sentinel, Calif.]
Dec. 14 SANTA CRUZ The National Weather Service has issued both a Coastal Flood and High Surf Advisory for the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay area.
The advisories were issued around 10 a.m. Monday morning, as King Tides flooded beaches on the west side and obscured shorelines.
A northwest swell brings heavy waves to the Santa Cruz coastline that could reach heights of up to 25 feet, according to the National Weather Service. The San Francisco, and Big Sur coasts are under alert as well.
High tide peaked mid Monday morning, and is predicted to again on Tuesday morning.
