Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services crews were able to contain a residential structure fire to the garage area and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes on Tuesday morning.
The slow lane of southbound Highway 101 south of Highway 58 in Santa Margarita was blocked off so emergency vehicles could respond to a car fire that was threatening nearby vegetation.
The fire was reported just before 11:30 a.m. on O'Connor Way, just outside of San Luis Obispo city limits and near the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office and Cuesta College.
