Northwestern’s swimming and diving team left Hyde Park bundled in coats after a dominating win over the University of Chicago on Saturday. The Wildcats’ performance was that of a team which, for most of the meet, competed against itself. The men’s squad defeated UChicago 221-73 and the women’s team had an equally triumphant final score.
Northwestern’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads participated in the Purdue Invitational from Thursday to Saturday, finishing first and second, respectively. The Wildcats competed against Illinois, Illinois State, Marshall, McKendree, Missouri State, Purdue and Southern Illinois. On Thursday, the men’s team walked away with two wins and the lead.
