Dr. C. Shawn Sun, assistant professor of civil engineering for Louisiana Tech University has been selected to receive the 2021 Engineering Faculty Professionalism award from the Louisiana Engineering Foundation (LEF).
Sun has more than 20 years of experience in research, teaching, and professional practice in structural engineering. His research interests include the ultra-high performance concrete, behavior and design of prestressed concrete and steel structures, innovative bridge systems, evaluation of existing concrete structures, and instrumentation and monitoring of structures.
Prior to joining Louisiana Tech’s Civil Engineering program in 2017, Sun served as a founding partner and then senior vice president for structural engineering consulting company, eConstruct, LLC, in Omaha, Nebraska. ....
