According to reports, Kolkata-based businessman Nitin Shaw (22) was leaving a bar around 11.30 pm on Friday when a group of men forced him into an SUV at gunpoint.
The trio, arrested by the Hawk s kidnapping unit and a private security company last week, allegedly terrorised their victims, most of whom are businessmen, and extorted money for their release.
On July 31, a video was received by Mukki’s son Naresh Kumar, where the former was seen chained around neck, hands and legs, and being thrashed by sticks with an automatic weapon aimed at his head. According to police, the three abducted Arjun Bhargava of Indraprasth Grand near Kalindi Park in Vrindavan Yojana, on the pretext of showing him a plot in Barabanki on August 7.
