Joyce Dockery DeMaine, 92 years old, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of January 22, 2021. A former Arkansas resident, Joyce was living with her only child, Richard Dee DeMaine, in Fairhope, Alabama at the time of her death. She was born on March 21, 1928 in Pine Bluff Arkansas to Jess Orville (“J.O.”) and Irene Borman Dockery. On August 3, 1947, Joyce married the love of her life and husband of 42 years, W.A. “Bill” DeMaine. Her husband has been described to “worship the ground she walked on.” The couple spent most of their time together in Stuttgart, Arkansas. During these years, Joyce could be found watching her son’s baseball and football games and entertaining any person that walked through her door. When she wasn’t taking care of her boys Dickie, Danny, Blaine, Eddie, Willie, Larry and Steve, the ladies in town would visit with her in her dress shop known to all as “The Lady Bug.” A member of First Christian Church of St ....
