The state’s overall grade is the same as it was four years ago, the last time grades were awarded, though it’s slightly higher than the national average.

We had discovered there was a leak on our plant influent pipe, which brings all the water from our city s collection system through one well, through one pipe and then gets distributed throughout the process, Donald Fitting, superintendent of the Burlington Wastewater Treatment Facility, told city council members Monday.
While the leak had been identified several months ago, Fitting, knowing the issue would require that wastewater bypass the facility, wanted to wait until colder weather deterred river traffic.
