Bryan has lost a popular family restaurant that boasted an even more popular buffet but former owners Pam and David Winners are looking forward to a long summer vacation.
The temporary shut down of Myro’s Pizza Bistro, at 336 W. High St., since early September is now permanent and the building has been sold. Pam Winners confirmed the sale of the building, to Carlos Magana, who owns El Mariachi’s Mexican Restaurant and Bar at 1260 S. Main St., in a phone interview Friday afternoon.
“Unfortunately, the world of buffet restaurants is a thing of the past,” Winners said.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, “People are scared to go out and eat and the restrictions are so limited. It’s just impossible,” Winners said. “To be successful, someone has to go in and make something other than a buffet. We can’t. We put everything we had into making it work.” ....
