Chris Thompson was elected interim leader of the provincial political party over the weekend.

Thompson ran for the New Brunswick NDP in New Maryland-Sunbury in September’s provincial election, finishing in last place with 1.5 per cent of the total votes.
He takes over the party leadership from Mackenzie Thomason, who resigned as interim leader last month following the September provincial election.
