Here’s a mouthful: a Brandon-based music director for a small-market Saskatchewan country radio station has just picked up a national award.
Formerly of Pure Country 101, Tim Black now works remotely for Assiniboia, Sask.-based radio station Cat Country 98 out of his home studio here in the Wheat City.

To his surprise, Black picked up the Music Director of the Year Award in the small-market category from Canadian magazine Broadcast Dialogue on Monday. The category represents markets with 50,000 or fewer people in them.
