Rehabbing Holland starts combined no-no

KANSAS CITY Greg Holland must be ready to go.
Holland, in a one-inning start for Double-A Northwest Arkansas, struck out all three Springfield batters he faced on Thursday night and set the tone for what became a combined no-hitter by four Naturals pitchers.
On a rehab assignment from Kansas City, Holland left after his perfect first inning in which he threw 14 pitches, including 11 strikes. This was his second successful outing to test the rib injury that put the right-handed reliever on the Royals disabled list. He remains on schedule to rejoin the club shortly.
