The Kemptville bistro that hosted an anti-lockdown protest last month has closed its doors for good.
Shelley Stinson, one of the owners of the South Branch Bistro, announced on social media that Sunday was the eatery’s last day.

“Our lease is up and we’ve decided not to renew,” Stinson said on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
The announcement of the closing came just weeks after a “mask-burning party” at the establishment drew about 200 patrons in defiance of the province’s lockdown rules.
