Newton finished third in a four team meet at home Monticello won the meet by beating second place Teutopolis, 256 to 185 the host Eagles were third with 108 points while St. Elmo/Brownstown was fourth (18)
Newton won one of the eighteen events Joe Stone won the 1600 meter run
the Eagles had five second place finishes Joe Stone in the 100 meter dash Seth Wills in the shot put Keith King in the high jump the 400 meter relay team – members not provided the 1600 meter relay team – members not provided
the Eagles are back in track action next Tuesday at Olney
