Lowell Police Superintendent Greg Hudon advised the City Council's Public Safety Subcommittee during its Tuesday night meeting that the department’s body-camera program is now fully operational.
LOWELL The Lowell Police Department's body-worn camera program was officially launched Wednesday, as 30 officers are now equipped with cameras as part of a one-year pilot program that will address any logistical issues before the plan's full implementation next year.
