The Metro Nashville Airport Authority officially seated its newly appointed state board members at a meeting Thursday, despite protests from the Metro Nashville government and concerns over recognization by the federal government.
The Federal Aviation Administration has informed Tennessee and Nashville officials it will continue to recognize the current airport board until a court rules on a pending lawsuit over its makeup.
That new board was supposed to take control July 1, 2023. Then on Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration filed a pretty significant letter that changes things.
