happy monday. very good morning to you from me as well. let s check in on the global markets this morning. the session after the dow came in a fraction. 0.37 of a point. tat was wild. dow futures up six points. nasdaq futures are up five. and as for the 10-year treasury note yield, what kind of read we re getting after the jobs report came in weaker than expected on the headline. best since 2009. that was taken as a positive, certainly in the bond market and the dollar. god bless you and 240. so we remain in higher yield territory post jobs. the yields differential was interesting. we saw yields slip and we went to a low of 2.33. and a similar path for the dollar that rallied towards the end of the week to end the week flat. the chief economist sugge suggesting that the bond and currency market was calming down. not so much in the equity market and he says always bonds are right on that front or maybe they just sold off a little too quickly too fast. let s look
it comes to china policy. it seems to be strange. normally you would suspect season diplomats is who you would turn to if you wanted to deal with one of our most important of powerful adversaries. right now a lot of the china hands are not in place, and also mr. trump has a different way of pursuing diplomacy, it seems. bad blood we have had between the u.s. and china. the president has said a lot of things that have upset china. in a back channel way, his daughter and her husband have been meeting with china officials. jared kushner has been talking to the chinese ambassador, and there was a very public visit between him and his family to the chinese ambassador to celebrate chinese new year, and they even had ivanka s daughter on line singing a song in mandarin, which was well received in china, as a way to offset the snub sense president trump did not do a thank you as far as chinese new year. i did watch the video. it was adorable. has obviously taking a hard line in t
balance the budget with a strategy that combines economy and government and the type of tax cuts to liberate the american people. of course the naysayers in the clinton white house it cannot be done. the have to say that. they don t know bob dole and they don t know jack cap.
