relating to alleged attempts to influence or disrupt the lawful administration of georgia s 2020 election. she has ordered him to hear to testify on august 23rd, alex. all right. kristen holmes, thank you very much. back with me is jennifer rodgers. jennifer, you heard what kristen said right there. senator graham did not want to testify. this judge now essentially saying what you did goes well beyond the scope of your legislative duties as a senator. so what s the significance of what the judge said today? well, the significance is, of course that lindsey graham will have to testify, even though he didn t want to, due to his loyalty to trump. and possibly his concern about his own culpability. but it s a good precedent. you know, you have president trump claiming, kind of a blanket executive privilege. you have now lindsey graham declaring a blanket speech and debate to right to temperature. the judge is saying, no, that
as one democratic house member explained, claiming executive privilege is not as easy as it sounds. i certainly expect, due to his close role with the president and the close communications that he held with the president in his role of chief of staff, that there probably will be instances where he does try to use privilege to choose whether he will or will not answer questions. but as we get to that point of that interview and have the opportunity to address each of those claims individually, i think the committee will address them based on their merits. unlike others who have tried to claim blanket executive privilege and as you ve seen mr. bannon, for example, who was held in contempt of congress for refusing to appear before the committee, we also have mr. clark who we anticipate will appear before the committee this weekend and we ll address teach case individually. we ll stay on top of that story for you, the deposition, of course, next week. now, teachers saw warning signs

through some sort of negotiation. one of the things that will be different this time around is the political dimension. that is to say that the biden administration, as folks already pointed out, have indicated that at least with respect to most of the documents in the hands of the national archives, they are not going to assert some sort of blanket executive privilege. that s going to put pressure on bannon and certainly the others to try to come up with some sort of workable solution. so we don t know yet, of course, how committed he is in terms of wanting to spend time in prison, potentially, up to a year. right. if he sort of holds out and fights a judicial resolution on this. yes, most of the time these kinds of things get resolved. i would suggest that if they get a negative decision, that is to say, bannon loses in any of these judicial cases, then you ll see the others sort of roll over pretty fast and work out something.
