The Senate advanced a bill that could create such high financial risks for doctors and health insurers that they’d stop providing or covering gender-affirming care — even for adults.
The technology trail of red flags started with a 2018 Auditor General Audit. It reported, “TUSD lacked adequate computer controls that increased the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive information and data loss.”
TUSD notified staff just days after the attack that the cybercriminals claimed to have stolen confidential data, but TUSD leaders didn’t tell parents and students.
