The Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) has asked the Indian government to block access to nine overseas cryptocurrency exchanges. | Latest News India
The Indian finance ministry has also written to Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to block the URLs of the nine entities that it says are operating illegally without complying with money laundering laws.
FIU-IND is the national agency responsible for receiving, processing, analysing and disseminating information relating to suspect financial transactions to enforcement agencies and foreign FIUs. The agency is under the Finance Ministry.
