Some residents have been expressing outrage after the Billerica Select Board voted 3-2 to reject a petition with at least 2,299 signatures after a campaign to put the $20 million town center project to a town wide vote after it had narrowly been approved at the fall Town Meeting.
Town Meeting members will decide on 28 articles on the fall Town Meeting warrant at Billerica’s Town Hall Oct. 3, three of which concern funding for two major projects the town is seeking to take up.
