HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - A motorcyclist is dead following a crash on the Big Island Friday afternoon.
Hawaii County Police say the collision happened just before 4 p.m. Friday in the Hawaiian Paradise Park area.
Officers say the motorcyclist was heading south on 24th Avenue and failed to stop at a stop sign on Maku’u Drive. That’s when he broadsided a truck.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and was unconscious when first responders arrived on scene. Hewas taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
