Media role important to expand modern agriculture information: experts

RAJSHAHI, Feb 19, 2021 (BSS) – Agricultural officials at a discussion viewed the role of mass media both print and electronic is very important towards expanding modern agriculture information among the grassroots farmers for the sake of boosting agricultural production.
They mentioned that wide-ranging expansion of modern agriculture information can be the effective means of protecting agriculture from the existing challenges like adverse impact of climate change and other natural calamities.
The farmers should be familiarized with the modern technologies through mass-media so that they can boost their farming yield through deriving total benefits of the modern technologies.

Betar accompanied by members of the civil society celebrated the day with the
main theme of “New World, New Radio”.
Representatives and staff of Community Radio Padma and Mohananda also
joined the celebration ceremony. To mark the day, Betar, Rajshahi station
hosted a discussion meeting at its office premises highlighting the
significance of the day and the betar as well.

RAJSHAHI, Dec 12, 2020 (BSS) – Five cultural personalities were awarded and accorded a reception in recognition to their outstanding contributions to the cultural field.
The award winning persons are: Asaduzzaman Sarker (film), Selim Reja (music), Animesh Mukutmoni (Musical Instrument), Rejaul Islam (song) and Gourab Parial (Musical Instrument).
As part of observance of the Victory Month, Rajshahi divisional branch of Bangladesh Sangeet Sangathan Samunnoy Parishad gave the award formally at a function held at Fun Valley auditorium here on Friday evening.
Rajshahi Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar Hassan Akhter addressed the ceremony as the chief guest with President of the Parishad Madhusudan Mukharjee in the chair.
