A Sunshine Coast groom-to-be who stabbed his brother repeatedly in a violent vengeful rage for putting his wedding day in jeopardy has been found guilty of murder.
During the trial the court heard Gregory, 61, had travelled to Queensland from Western Australia to attend his younger brother s wedding, which was scheduled later that week.
It heard the two men had been drinking together with their partners and Bernard s daughter, before they began arguing over stupid little things , including comments made about their mother. ....

A groom-to-be has been jailed for life after being found guilty of murdering his brother in a vengeful stabbing attack.
Sunshine Coast man Bernard Robbins has today been found guilty of murdering brother Greg, committing the crime of passion just days before his own wedding.
The altercation, occurring on June 12, 2019, saw Mr Robbins and his family having drinks just days away from the nuptials â with the brothers then getting into a heated argument over family matters.

A groom-to-be who fatally stabbed his brother days before he was due to get married should be acquitted of murder because he was acting in self-defence, a Brisbane court has heard.
Bernard John Robbins is on trial charged with murdering Gregory Robbins, 61, at a home in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast on June 2019.
Bernard Robbins, 59, admitted he stabbed his brother seven times after a night of drunken arguments, but says he was being held in a headlock, unable to breathe from being choked.
He grabbed a knife from a nearby massage table, fearing his brother would injure him or do serious harm, defence barrister Damian Walsh told the Brisbane Supreme Court on Tuesday. ....

The partner of a man allegedly stabbed to death by his brother told a jury her boyfriend pushed her out of the way when the accused emerged from a house with two knives.
Karen Vanden Drieson gave evidence yesterday in the trial of Bernard John Robbins, 59, accused of murdering his brother Gregory Robbins, 61.
He has pleaded not guilty.
Ms Vanden Drieson told Brisbane Supreme Court the night of June 12, 2019 began as a lovely evening as she got acquainted with her partnerâs family at a Sunshine Coast townhouse.
But things soured as a discussion between the brothers became heated. ....
