Mary Elizabeth Casseday, Wilmington Trust retiree

March 11, 2021 Mary Elizabeth Casseday, 87, of Lewes passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at her home after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.  She was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Andrew Oliver Nickle and Mary Elizabeth Webster Nickle Kavanaugh. Mary grew up in Wilmington and moved to Lewes in 1982.  She built a career with the Wilmington Trust Company, retiring after 25 dedicated years.  Mary was very involved in her church and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) since 1988.  She was proud to have held office within DAR and assisted 41 members with their genealogies.  Mary was very patriotic and even participated in a Naturalization Ceremony.  She was a steadfast supporter of her family, even driving one of her husband’s race cars in a Powder Puff Derby.  Her support was continual, standing by her husband and son when they established Below Book Auto - even though she wanted to retire!  Mary also wro
