Britains National Crime agency is questioning three people on suspicion of immigration offences, afterfive migrants died while trying to cross the channel to reach the uk yesterday. The dead included a seven year old girl. Two of the three people arrested are from sudan, the other is south sudanese. They are aged between 19 and 22. Craig turner, the Deputy Director of investigations at the National Crime agency, gave this statement about the arrests. I can confirm that three men have been arrested on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration and entering the uk illegally.
