Captain Albert Stevens School students gain service recognition following Lions Club drive

BELFAST Members of the local Belfast Lions Club and their mascot, Leo, recently presented a certificate of recognition to students at the Captain Albert Stevens School in Belfast for their participation in the Camden and Belfast Eyeglass and Cell.

Wed, 02/03/2021 - 1:30pm (Photo courtesy Belfast Lions Club) The local Belfast and Camden Lions Clubs have challenged each other to see which school in their respective districts can collect the most eye-glasses, cell-phones and hearing aids. This drive will last until the end of March. Collection boxes for RSU 71 schools have been set up at BAHS, CASS, THMS, Ames and Weymouth buildings. The Lions are asking the public to dig out and bring in all those old, no longer used glasses and cell-phones. “It is OK if they do not work or are broken,” said Belfast Lions, in a news release. “This is a recycling project.”
