The Belarusian satellite for the remote sensing of Earth has been in orbit for over ten years already. Plans are in place to launch new satellites and expand the Belarusian-Russian satellite constellation.
Preparations for this flight, plans to launch new satellites for the remote sensing of Earth, and international cooperation in space industry were discussed by representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) at a press conference.
The sides discussed a number of matters, including an approximate list of priority R&D and innovative programs and projects of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, standard provisions on distributing rights to intellectual property assets, and a draft intergovernmental agreement on Belarus-Russia R&D cooperation.
The project to introduce high-performance high-precision casting using high-strength and grey cast iron was launched in Q1 2019 and was completed ahead of schedule. The total cost is Br16 million, with Br7 million granted by the Belarusian Innovative Foundation (BIF).
