Perak cops 'patrolling' the web to catch those attempting interdistrict travel

IPOH: The Perak Tengah district police are monitoring social media groups to sniff out those attempting to cross districts. Perak Tengah OCPD Superintendent Barudin Wariso said they are watching several of these groups that are sharing information about locations without roadblocks. We are also having spot checks and patrols at several locations we believe are potentially alternative routes (to cross districts), even if these are quite far away. The people should not be fearful of the police, roadblocks or compounds. They should be more afraid of an enemy that cannot be seen. Do not regret later, he added. Supt Barudin said the police set up a roadblock at KM3 of Jalan Gelung Pepuyu-Beruas, which is among several alternative roads connecting Perak Tengah with Manjung and Taiping on Friday (May 14).
