Plea for donations as demand for Mid Cheshire Foodbank doubles

A PLEA for donations is being made as foodbanks feed more people than ever before due to the pandemic. Mid Cheshire Foodbank is helping twice as many families compared to this time last year as demand soars. People from all backgrounds are struggling to survive. Winsford Town Cllr Nathan Pardoe, and member of Cheshire West and Chester Council who is a foodbank volunteer and trustee, says that most people seeking help have jobs. Most people are working but simply don t have enough money because of the cost of living, said Cllr Pardoe. We have professional people and a cross section of society seeking help.
