What i would like to do is talk about all of these surrenders. I do want to compare these surrenders. Talk about how different they are, because each of them unfolded in its own way. And each of these surrenders happens independently and they each have a fascinating story and talk about how the civil war will set the stage for reconstruction. All right. It is about an hour. I want to introduce our speaker for the morning, Robert Dunkley is a historian awardwinning author, he has a degree in history from st. Vincent. He has worked at nine different historic sites, most recently on Richmond National battlefield park. He has written two books that are specifically listed. Im sure he will be talking about them today. I think we have at least one of them in the bookstore, the most recent one. To be bitter end, and the other one is the confederate of greensboro. His talk today will be on the forgotten territories. I hope he might mention florida a little once or twice. It was one of the regimens that was one of the last surrendered groups. Bert dunkley.
