A woman was beaten to death in Jashore sadar s Balia Vekutia village last night over throwing a tissue at the family graveyard.
The deceased was identified as Benu Begum, 50, wife of Basarat Hossain of the village, our Benapole correspondent reports.
Benu Begum s brother Atiqur Rahman filed a case with the local police station over the death. He said that his sister s family always had disagreement over trivial matters.
Yesterday, one Abeda Khatun got into an argument with Benu over her throwing some tissue paper at the family graveyard, Atiqur said.
