Jun. 3—An 85-year-old Korean War veteran was displaced after a fire destroyed his Bainbridge home Saturday, May 29. Elmer Hopper was uninjured in the fire that destroyed his home on Lyons Road, but lost all of his possessions, including mementos from his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, according to his friend, Afton resident Alexis VanBuren. CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio The Kenston Local Schools community is grieving the loss of one of its own today after a fatal car accident Friday evening.
According to Bainbridge Township police, Cameron Toth, 18, was involved in an accident around 9:35 p.m. on Country Lane when his vehicle traveled off the side of the road, hit a mailbox, a culvert, and trees, and then overturned. During the incident, Toth was ejected from the vehicle.
Toth, a resident of Auburn Township, was transported by the Bainbridge Fire Department to Hillcrest Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased at 1:39 a.m.

BAINBRIDGE (WBNG) The Bainbridge Fire Department says a family has been displaced in what officials called a huge loss from a house fire this morning.
Fire officials say the fire occurred around 9:30 Sunday morning at 3 Mount Pleasant Dr. in Bainbridge.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire, but the family living inside of the residence lost their home.
The Coventry, Afton, Sidney, and Masonville Fire Departments responded to the scene and assisted the Bainbridge Fire Department with battling the flames.
