Reading about 77 degrees now, but its going to feel a lot hotter as the day progresses. People here in the city bracing for another day of intense heat. Offensively hot. It offenders my sensibilities that it is this hot. I feel like im walking in a hot bath, an unpleasant hot bath. The humidity and heat index potentially dangerous. Its very draining and its hard to breathe. Which is why staying hydrated is crucial. We keep refilling our bottles every 10 minutes. We rest every 30 minutes or so. Thursday the weather system brought heavy rain to parts of our area, lightning setting off this fire in new jersey, a bolt hitting electrical wires. Center when a crane struck and cracked this window. As the hot weather continues into the weekend, officials are urging residents to do their best to conserve and limit use of high energy appliances.
