Silverdale Presses Past St. Andrew s In DII-A District 2 Opener

Silverdale’s Sam Bambrey is short and stocky, not exactly the prototypical basketball archetype. But darn, can he make things happen with the ball in his hands. Midway through the second quarter of Silverdale’s 73-38 demolition of St. Andrews Sewanee School in the DII-A District 2 tournament, Bambrey ruthlessly pulled up for a wing triple off the bounce and buried it.
On the very next possession down the court, Bambrey ran the fastbreak to perfection. He drove to his left and forced the defense to commit to him. When that happened, he fired a dime to his right and gave sharpshooting Bryson Cline a rare two-pointer in the form of an easy layup.
