First-year Marquette head coach David Korn has announced the initial additions of Sean Clancy and Calum Mallace as assistant coaches to the program officially on Thursday morning. Sean Clancy joins Korn from his most recent stop at Maryville University and will serve as the program’s goalkeeper coach. “I’ve been fortunate to work with Sean over the past five years and witness his knowledge and expertise as a coach,” Korn said. “Not only is he an expert in coaching players especially at the goalkeeper position, but he’s also phenomenal at his ability to support the development of our student-athletes.” Clancy served under Korn for four seasons at Maryville, most recently as a goalkeepers coach (2020-21). During Clancy’s tenure, the Saints compiled a 65-21-18 record and advanced to four NCAA tournament appearances (2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023).
