Vanessa Wilson, who was fired as the chief of the Aurora Police Department last week, said Monday she is considering “all options” in response to her termination, and she and community supporters of hers said they all felt her firing was the result of political pressure.
An independent report authored by a police records consulting firm found the Aurora Police Department had more than 2,500 reports still backlogged for investigation a “high-liability matter,” according to the report including reports involving child sexual abuse, murder and carjacking.
