Paul McCartney’s younger brother, Michael, had a front row seat during the early days of the Quarrymen and the Beatles. He also had the smarts and talent to pick up a camera and capture the musical magic and gritty energy of Liverpool in the early 1960s. Some of his photographs are well known, but in his new book, Mike McCartney’s Early Liverpool (Genesis), he shares images never before published. He also tracks his own music/arts career working with the likes of Roger McGough, Adrien Henri and Allen Ginsberg, and with his own band, the Scaffold.
