As everyone is out enjoying Spring break and the warmer weather, more and more people are getting outdoors. Families are getting everyone outside and hitting the trails. It is that time of year that motorists will see more pedestrian traffic. And pedestrian safety is on everyone’s check list.

Pedestrians need to keep in mind that even when you have the right-of-way at a crossing, you have a responsibility to watch for drivers that may not see you. Pedestrians should be mindful to cross streets only at crosswalks and try to wear brighter or reflective clothing. Pedestrians should use extra caution at night and in low-light conditions, to be sure you are visible.
