The time and subject-matter scope of the Code
The Code was adopted by the AIFP Board on 23 March 2020 and approved by the AIFP General Assembly on 16 April 2020.
With effect as of the 1 January 2021, when the Code comes into force, the Code will replace the currently applicable AIFP ethical regulations, in particular the AIFP Code on Conduct, AIFP Code on Disclosure of Transfers of Value from Pharmaceutical Companies to Healthcare Professionals and Healthcare Organizations, and AIFP Code of Practice on Relationships between the Pharmaceutical Industry and Patient Organizations.
