4-year-old Texas boy rescued from well hole after six hours

GARCENO, TX â A 4-year-old Texas boy was rescued from a well hole after a six-hour mission by first responders.
The boy went into the eight to 10 inch-wide hole shortly before 4:30 p.m., according to Assistant Chief Robert Alvarez of the Mission Fire Department. He fell eight to nine feet down before being trapped in the narrowing passage.
In order to get to the boy, first responders dug a hole parallel to the one the boy was trapped in, then broke away the divider in sections. However, the ground was made of shell rock, which made the rescue difficult.
