The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education met Thursday night for their monthly meeting, In personnel matters: Accepted the resignation of Jane Best as Tennis Coach Hired Holden Sandiford as the new Tennis Coach. Hired Shawn Rush as Assistant Baseball Coach. Rehired Assistant Principal Bobby Wells for 1 year. Rehired Technology Director Marc Leighty for 1 year. The Personnel action took place after an Executive Session. The board set graduation for Saturday, May 13 at 5:00 pm. Approved the 2023-2024 School Calendar. Approved a motion to let fuel bids for FY24. In the Superintendents Report: Supt. Jill Fulkerson informed the board that parent/student surveys would be taking place in the near future. This week is FCCLA Week, with next week being FFA Week, including a full week of activities. Attendees heard from 4 of the 8 Illinois State Scholars regarding their future plans.
