Many buyers now prefer buying sacrificial animals online in fear of coronavirus transmission in traditional cattle markets. However, there is no option to negotiate the prices on e-commerce platforms. The government has also set up a digital cattle hat to facilitate online cattle trade and discourage public gatherings in makeshift cattle markets. Online platforms are offering sacrificial animals – cow, goat, sheep, camel and dumba in different indicators of age, weight, teeth as well as price ranges.
