TCB goods available online Staff Correspondent Staff Correspondent
People can now purchase essential products of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) at less than market prices online.
The state agency said it will sell sugar, lentil, edible oil and chickpea through certain online stores to enable the middle-income people to buy essential goods staying at home during the Ramadan.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi inaugurated the activities virtually organised by e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) with the support of TCB.
The minister said the TCB presently sells essential commodities in the open market so that the poor and low-income people get the products at subsidised rates.

E-Cab suggests consumers to shop from authentic companies
Economic Reporter :
The E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh has suggested the e-commerce consumers to remain aware and purchase commodities from responsible and authentic companies.
The call was made from a virtual press conference organised by the association on the occasion of E-Commerce Day on Thursday. E-Cab is working to finalise the Digital Commerce Guidelines of the Ministry of Commerce to bring discipline to the e-commerce sector, said Asif Ahnaf, a director of the association. This will enable the buyers to be aware and make purchases from the responsible organisation. It is possible to reduce the problem to a great extent by making the buyers aware, he added.
