whitman. she has a consulting firm that specializes in environmental issues. christina served under president george w. bush as manager of the epa from 2002 to 2003. she served as the first woman governor from 1994 to 2001. as governor christina whitman earned praise for being able to receive a record amount of new jersey land as permanent green space. she is also recognized by having the most comprehensive beach monitoring system in the nation. as epa administrator she brought about water protection policies. governor whitman also championed non-diesel action along with crucial innovation. william riley was the administrator of the environmental protection agency under president george w. bush. he served as the founder and adviser to several business efforts. in 20 14, he was hired by president obama to watch the water supply in mexico. james strock was acting director at the office of personal management. christopher demuth was chairman of the white house staff force on env
test. test. and i think that while we still need we need some technological breakthroughs, we mainly need regulatory breakthroughs. and i think the biden administration will have a great opportunity there because it is going to be an administration center left rather than center right administration that has the majority of environmental activists within its coalition. it is going to be that coalition that confronts this dilemma over the role of nuclear power and comes up with a new regulatory structure. that s up to them. i have no prediction as to what our new president is going to do in that area. but some of initial signs are, frankly, cause for hope. roger turner, the victories of the past 50 years in the environmental space and prior to president nixon taken to office, richard carlton had written the silent spring and shortly after he had taken office, the cuyahoga river caught on fire. it was a pretty bleak time in 1969, 1970. what have been
