Tripartite registration agreements to encourage greater global collaboration between architects

The latest renewal follows recent changes in the Mutual Recognition Agreement between the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Since August 3, there have been no passport limitations and a new pathway has been established for graduate recognition. This applies to undergraduates (Bachelor degree) in Australia and New Zealand, and post-graduates (Master degree) in the UK.

This MRA streamlines the registration process, resulting in reduced costs and examinations, as well as recognising a graduate’s qualifications, even at the master’s level.

“From 25 May 2023, eligible applicants can apply for mutual recognition either as a registered architect or a qualified graduate. UK applicants can also receive official certificates for skilled migration to Australia upon successful completion of their mutual recognition application,” she says.
