FOR THE REGISTER Land Trust of Napa County announced the completion of two conservation easements protecting almost 200 acres near Mount Veeder, along the Napa-Sonoma county line. âThe property is in a key location,â said Doug Parker, CEO of the Land Trust. âThe easements are very near each other and are adjacent to other protected land. This one is west of the City of Napa along the Sonoma-Napa county line. The other abuts 160 acres of federal Bureau of Land Management land just south of the preserve. FOR THE REGISTER Land Trust of Napa County announced a 30-acre addition to one of its most popular properties, the Archer Taylor Preserve on the ridgeline at the end of Redwood Road near the Sonoma County line. The preserve, now at 399 acres, is located within a critical wildlife corridor running the length of the Mayacamas range along the ridge between Sonoma and Napa counties. The new addition also connects the preserve to other protected land along this corridor, further ensuring the viability of the corridor over the long term, the Land Trust said in a news release. âThis preserve is one of our key holdings and weâre proud to have worked with both families â first the Taylors, Connie, Ann and Annâs husband Charlie Schwing, who donated land to create the preserve, and now the Kublers â to permanently protect this land and all of its natural values,â said Doug Parker, CEO of the Land Trust. ....
