The second day of the Secondary Schools Athletic Sports Competition sponsored by TongaHealth, saw five events including 3000m track, 400m track, 100m hurdles, 100m sprints and 4x400m relay, today at Teufaiva Stadium in Nuku'alofa. Medals for this evening's events will be awarded tomorrow.
The Tonga Form Six Certificate 2023 exam results, released last week, showed the overall Form Six passing rates increased to 51% compared to 33% in 2022. The best performing school was ‘Eua High School with an 88% pass rate.
'Ahopanilolo Institute awarded certificates to 104 graduates of the Level 2-4 career programs, in a joyful ceremony that recognised the collective achievements of the graduates, held at the Sosefele Hall, Apifo’ou College, Nuku'alofa, on Wednesday, 22 November.
Winner of the 2023 National Soroban Competition was Vahe Hahake 1 taking First Place and Best Overall Result for the year. A total of 240 students from across Tonga participated in the competition for primary schools from different districts, held on 16 November, hosted by Apifo’ou College at the Sir Sofele Kakala and Bishop Patelesio Finau Hall.
A new tsunami evacuation signboard was unveiled by the visiting UN Special Representative of the Secretary General for Disaster Risk Reduction, Ms. Mami Mizutori, on ‘Apifo’ou College grounds today, 20 October 2023, followed by a tsunami siren drill exercise.
