Aon acquires 49% stake in Anviti Insurance Brokers

Institutional investor Catamaran Ventures promoted Anviti Insurance Brokers Private Ltd on Monday said global insurance firm Aon has acquired 49 per cent stake in it.
The company, however, did not disclose the deal size.
Aon provides a broad range of risk, retirement, and health solutions.
The investment will enable Anviti to further strengthen its operations in the country and continue to provide world-class service to their growing clientele with the support of global resources from Aon, a release said.

Insurer broker Aon has acquired a 49% equity stake in Anviti Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd, a fast-growing, composite broking firm in India.
Anviti will transition to the Aon brand pending regulatory approvals. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The Anviti team will form the core of the joint venture and its growth plans in India, supported by Aon’s global resources and technology and operations infrastructure. Jonathan Pipe, CEO of Anviti, will continue to lead the team.
