Police officers beating and kicking him. while this man called up for his mother who lived not far from where all this happened. today we heard from the memphis police chief, she said, thus far, there is no evidence to back up why mr. nichols was pulled over to begin with. we have not been able to substantiate the cause of this stop, the violation, the only thing that we have right now is the officers saying that mr. nichols was driving recklessly. the five officers involved have been fired and were indicted on several criminal charges including murder. tonight, and memphis and in cities across the nation, there are peaceful protests and rallies underway. americans calling for justice and for accountability for tyre nichols. let s get straight to my colleague antonia hylton live in memphis. and tanya, you have been in ....
