Tracy Welch and Rick Hoefle were winners after voters went to the polls Tuesday to determine who will be on the ballot in April for Lincoln s next mayor.
Tracy Welch, who has served as the acting mayor after Seth Goodman resigned in June, won with 340 votes representing 84.16% against Steve Messner who received 64 votes at 15.84%. A total of 404 people cast their votes out of a possible 9,053 making voter turnout 4.5%.
Welch said he was grateful for the support of the people from Lincoln. I would like to thank everybody for their support, confidence and vote in Tuesday s Primary Election.
